National Apprenticeship Week 2015 - Activity Pack & Lesson Plans

To celebrate the success of National Apprenticeship Week 2015, we’ve created this pack of teaching resources. In it, you’ll find quick apprenticeship activities which can be used during lessons as starters or plenaries. These can also be used in PSHEE lessons, tutor periods and one-off careers guidance sessions.

You’ll also find a selection of individual exercises to be used in English, Maths and History lessons.

These resources can be used throughout the entire academic year as a way of educating your students about apprenticeships and school leaver programmes.

Parents Guide to Apprenticeships, School Leaver Programmes & Sponsored Degrees 2015

According to The School & College Leaver Careers Market 2015 annual research report*, 47.1% of parents and guardians go to teachers and careers advisers to source information about the alternatives to university. With this in mind, we have created this information pack to help parents understand ALL of the options available to their children when they leave school or college, from university and sponsored degrees to apprenticeships and school leaver programmes.

To assist parents and guardians in helping their children to make fully informed decisions about their future, this guide should be distributed to parents of all children at your school in years 10, 11, 12 and 13.

It can be sent to parents and guardians via email throughout the academic year or can be printed off and used as a valuable resource to hand out at parents’ evenings.
